Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
This is a hands-on cybersecurity role that sits across security engineering, operations, and design. The position focuses on strengthening the organisation’s security posture by embedding controls into technology environments, improving detection and response capabilities, and supporting incident management. You will work closely with internal technology teams and external partners to enhance resilience and manage evolving cyber risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Design & Architecture
- Support secure solution design through risk identification and threat modelling across projects
- Participate in design reviews covering on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Define and recommend security controls across identity, network, data protection, and monitoring domains
- Translate security requirements into practical implementation approaches with technology teams
- Maintain documentation such as design reviews, risk assessments, and control mappings
Security Engineering & Platform Enablement
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools and platforms
- Ensure systems are securely configured and operating effectively
- Continuously tune detection rules to improve accuracy and reduce noise
- Support alert triage, rule updates, and platform health checks
- Troubleshoot security issues and coordinate remediation with relevant teams
- Develop and maintain runbooks and operational documentation
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and coordination
- Work with internal teams and external providers to validate and respond to alerts
- Support containment, eradication, and recovery efforts
- Act as a coordination point during incidents, ensuring clear communication
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and continuous improvement efforts

- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience across at least two domains (engineering, operations, or design)
- Hands-on experience across enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with security tooling and detection workflows
- Experience supporting or handling cybersecurity incidents
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
