Our CEO, Declan O’Sullivan was recently interviewed by Channel NewsAsia radio (CNA 938) to share his views on leadership during Covid-19 and the recruitment outlook in South East Asia.
According to Declan, remaining calm and positive is key in order to successfully lead rather than just “manage” teams during this uncertain time. Clear, regular, consistent messaging helps enormously.
From a recruitment perspective, the main impact of Covid-19 is that hiring activities have been deferred for many industries. One interesting development is that quite a few people are now being hired through an entire video-call-recruitment cycle, though some hiring managers are still sceptical about hiring without being able to have face to face interviews.
On a positive note, quite a few sectors such as Technology, e-Commerce and Supply Chain are not being badly impacted by the pandemic and continue to acquire talent at a robust pace.
