Finance & Operations – Public Markets

Our client is a well-established investment management firm seeking a Finance & Operations professional to join its Public Markets team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations professional to gain broad exposure across the investment lifecycle while working closely with portfolio managers and key external service providers.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational and financial activities across public market investment portfolios. You will work closely with the investment team to ensure the efficient execution and settlement of trades, including IPO subscriptions, post-trade processing and lifecycle event management. The role also encompasses portfolio operations, including cash management, reconciliations, corporate actions, portfolio valuations, NAV oversight, financial reporting and coordination of fund accounting activities.

You will play an integral role in supporting fund lifecycle events such as subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions and audits, while partnering with brokers, custodians, prime brokers, fund administrators and other external service providers to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a strong control environment by monitoring trade exceptions, resolving operational issues, improving processes and supporting regulatory and internal reporting requirements.

Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience within public markets middle office, investment operations, fund operations or fund accounting. A solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, portfolio operations, fund accounting principles and financial reporting is essential.
