FP&A Analyst – Energy Group

Overview
A leading organization within the energy and commodities trading sector, with a strong regional presence across Asia, is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join its Singapore team. The Singapore office plays a critical role in supporting commercial and trading activities, partnering closely with global stakeholders to drive performance, transparency, and informed decision‑making.

Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will act as a key finance partner to commercial and trading desks, providing forward‑looking insights on earnings, margins, and portfolio performance. The role spans end‑to‑end financial analysis, including forecasting, performance reporting, variance analysis, and bridging trading P&L to management and statutory views. You will work closely with Trading, Risk, Accounting, and global FP&A teams to enhance reporting, support new deal evaluations, and drive improvements in systems, processes, and controls, while proactively highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, with at least five years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or trading finance. Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills are essential, along with the ability to work with large data sets. Experience in a trading or fast‑moving commercial environment, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic setting are highly valued. You are best described as having a proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and a continuous improvement approach.
