Global System Administrator
Introduction
A leading player in the global energy and commodities trading space is hiring a Global System Administrator in Singapore to support a complex regional technology environment spanning enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced systems professional who can manage large-scale environments while leading technical projects, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
You will administer and enhance a broad infrastructure estate across Windows Server environments, VMware virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, enterprise storage and backup platforms, directory services, messaging systems, and modern workplace technologies. The role covers server administration, patching, disaster recovery, identity and access management, collaboration platforms, hybrid cloud operations, data centre coordination, automation, security hardening, and operational monitoring. You will also lead infrastructure projects from planning through delivery, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and professional services partners while maintaining runbooks, SOPs, handover notes, and technical documentation.
Requirements
You should bring substantial experience managing enterprise-scale systems infrastructure, with strong depth in Windows Server administration, virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, directory services, enterprise messaging, and cloud platforms. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g. PowerShell, Python), endpoint management, identity governance, backup and disaster recovery, and monitoring tools will be important. Exposure to hybrid cloud environments, security practices, network fundamentals, and virtual desktop infrastructure would be advantageous. You should be independent, structured, and comfortable managing priorities across operational support, project delivery, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
