Head of Digital & AI – Leading Infrastructure Organization
A leading infrastructure organisation is seeking a Head of Digital & AI to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation across its operational and technical functions. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s digital and AI strategy, leveraging emerging technologies, data, automation and artificial intelligence to improve operational performance, enhance asset utilisation and accelerate business transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Data and Corporate functions, you will identify and deliver high-impact initiatives that modernise capabilities, improve productivity and support the organisation’s long-term strategic objectives.

You will develop and execute the organisation’s Digital & AI strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage AI, advanced analytics, automation, IoT and digital technologies to enhance operational performance, optimise business processes and enable data-driven decision-making. Partnering closely with senior business and technology leaders, you will define strategic priorities, establish transformation roadmaps and ensure digital investments are aligned with organisational objectives.
You will lead a portfolio of enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of programmes from strategy and business case development through to implementation, adoption and value realisation. Working collaboratively with Operations, Technology, Data, Architecture and business stakeholders, you will translate complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions while driving innovation, continuous improvement and organisational change.
You will evaluate emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concepts and pilot initiatives, assessing their potential to deliver measurable business outcomes before scaling successful solutions across the organisation. You will establish governance frameworks to prioritise initiatives, monitor programme performance and measure business benefits, ensuring transformation efforts deliver sustainable operational improvements and long-term value.
In addition, you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, technology partners and external vendors, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams while developing internal digital capabilities and promoting a culture of innovation, agility and continuous learning.

You have 15-20 years of experience leading digital transformation, technology strategy, innovation or operational excellence initiatives within large, complex and asset-intensive organisations. You possess a strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide transformation programmes involving digital technologies, AI, automation, IoT, advanced analytics or smart operations, with the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical business outcomes.
You have demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large transformation portfolios, with experience engaging senior executives and influencing stakeholders across business and technology functions. Exposure to operational environments where reliability, resilience, safety and service continuity are critical will be highly advantageous.
You possess strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and programme leadership capabilities, complemented by excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You are comfortable operating in complex, evolving environments, balancing innovation with execution while driving organisation-wide change and adoption. Experience with AI-enabled operations, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, digital platforms or enterprise transformation programmes will be highly regarded.
