Our client is a leading organization in Singapore that operates a large-scale, business-critical technology environment supporting essential enterprise services. The Systems Team Lead will lead a team of batch operations specialists, manage the enterprise workload automation platform, and ensure the reliable execution of batch processing, file transfer, monitoring, and recovery operations across a 24×7 production environment. This role is ideal for an infrastructure professional with Automic Workload Automation (AWA) expertise who enjoys balancing operational excellence with platform engineering.
Responsibilities
You will oversee the day-to-day operation of enterprise batch workloads, ensuring production schedules are executed reliably, and service levels are consistently achieved. Working closely with application and infrastructure teams, you will configure, schedule, and support batch workflows within AWA and SAP environments, while managing ad-hoc processing, job recovery, and deployment activities. You will investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to strengthen platform stability and operational resilience. In addition, you will administer the AWA platform, including workflow development, code promotion across environments, agent administration, platform monitoring, and user access management. The role also supports enterprise monitoring, backup and recovery operations, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, and ensures compliance with operational, audit, security, and governance requirements.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with at least 4 years of experience supporting enterprise workload automation or batch processing environments. You have strong hands-on expertise with AWA and a solid understanding of batch scheduling concepts, workflow dependencies, SLA management, and enterprise file transfer technologies such as FTP, SFTP, or managed file transfer solutions. Experience working within ITIL-based operational environments covering incident, problem, and change management is essential. Exposure to SAP batch scheduling, Unix/Linux or Windows administration, scripting using Shell or PowerShell, enterprise monitoring platforms such as DataDog, Splunk, or DX UIM, and backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup will be advantageous.
