This leading international investment bank operates a sophisticated Global Markets platform across key financial centres, supporting a broad range of asset classes and clients globally. As part of its continued investment in large-scale transformation, regulatory compliance, and business expansion initiatives, the client is seeking a seasoned Director, Program Manager (Global Markets) to join its regional leadership team.

This is a high-impact role for an experienced program leader to drive complex, cross-border initiatives and partner closely with senior stakeholders across business, finance, risk, and technology functions.

Reporting to the Global Transformation Lead for Markets and working in close partnership with global heads and C-suite stakeholders, you will lead the delivery of critical strategic programs both regionally and globally. You will be responsible for end-to-end program management, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to global business and regulatory priorities.

You will oversee a portfolio of high-profile initiatives spanning regulatory change (including Basel III/IV), capital and RWA optimisation, exposure management, and new business build-out. This includes establishing robust governance frameworks, managing interdependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring effective execution across multiple workstreams and regions.

Acting as a central point of coordination, you will drive stakeholder engagement across front office, finance, risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams, ensuring alignment between global and regional objectives. You will provide regular updates to senior management, offering insights on program progress, risks, and strategic decision points.

In addition, you will contribute to enhancing program management discipline, improving delivery frameworks, and supporting the broader transformation agenda within the Markets business.

Qualifications

Degree qualified and a certified accountant (CA/CPA), you bring a minimum of 15 years in program delivery within a global investment banking environment, with strong exposure to global markets products and associated financial instruments.

You possess a proven track record of delivering complex global strategic initiatives, particularly in areas such as regulatory change (Basel III/IV), capital management, RWA, and front-to-back transformation. Your experience spans multiple functions, and you are adept at navigating cross-functional environments involving front office, risk, finance, and technology stakeholders.

A highly credible and influential leader, you demonstrate strong executive presence and gravitas, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including global heads and C-suite executives. You are analytical, structured, and delivery-focused, with exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
