Head of Network Engineering – Financial Services Industry

A prominent organization in the capital markets and financial infrastructure domain is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its enterprise network function. This company plays a vital role in enabling secure and efficient trading and financial operations, with a strong emphasis on innovation, resilience, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and performance of the company’s network systems, which support mission-critical services.

Role

As Head of Network Engineering, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure across data centers, trading platforms, and enterprise systems. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for network reliability, monitoring, and continuous improvement, while ensuring seamless collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams. This is a management-focused leadership role emphasizing operational excellence, risk mitigation, and service reliability within highly regulated environments. Key responsibilities include:

• Run and manage the company’s high-availability network infrastructure, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
• Oversee network monitoring, observability, and incident response processes.
• Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and operational SLAs.
• Drive operational compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network engineers.
• Implement operational best practices, including change management, capacity planning, and service improvement initiatives.

தேவைகள்

• At least 10 years of experience in network engineering, design, and architecture, ideally within capital markets or regulated industries.
• Deep expertise in network protocols (BGP, MPLS, SDN), enterprise hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper), and network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Proven ability to design and architect complex network systems across data centers, cloud, and enterprise environments.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and cloud networking (Python, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills; certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CISSP preferred.
