Chief Information Officer – China (Retail / FMCG / eCommerce)

We are partnering with a leading global Retail & FMCG group to recruit a forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO), China. This role will lead the end-to-end technology strategy across physical retail, eCommerce, and supply chain operations in one of the group’s most critical growth markets.
Role
Reporting to the Asia CIO and China CEO, you will be accountable for delivering scalable, secure, and customer-centric tech platforms across all digital and physical touchpoints. You will oversee the integration of omnichannel retail systems, build localized cloud infrastructure, and enable data-driven decision-making through modern analytics.
A key focus will be driving the China eCommerce technology agenda—enhancing platforms, enabling personalization, and optimizing digital supply chain capabilities. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure full compliance with local data and cybersecurity laws.
Requirement
You are degree-qualified with 15+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in China, ideally within retail, eCommerce, or FMCG. Proven track record in scaling digital commerce platforms, ERP/cloud modernization, and leading agile delivery teams is essential.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, you are commercially focused, tech-savvy, and well-versed in operating within a regulated, fast-paced consumer environment.
