Senior Legal Counsel, Engineering & Construction

Kerry Consulting is currently partnering with a Singapore Headquartered Energy Solution Company that is commited in driving energy transition across Asia. They are currently looking to hire a commercially astute Senior Legal Counsel for their Regional Legal team. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders and oversee the delivery of legal and compliance support.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the legal team, you will assist in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements within the energy sector, including but not limited to service agreements, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and power purchase agreements. The role also involves advising on legal considerations arising from existing commercial relationships, managing disputes and regulatory inquiries from pre-litigation through to conclusion, and implementing group-wide legal and compliance policies, procedures and standards.

As a senior member of the legal team, you will also assist the Head of Legal & Compliance in supervising and mentoring junior team members, overseeing day-to-day workstreams, and ensuring high standards of quality and consistency. Working closely with senior leadership, the individual will help foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, strengthen team cohesion, and ensure the legal function operates as a high-performing unit aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be a Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 15 years PQE with prior experience in EPC contracts ideally. Prior experience in project development and project finance in the energy sector will be helpful for this role. You should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and is able to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
