Our client – an industry leader – is looking to capitalise on growth opportunities both organic- and inorganically. There is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Commercial Lead to join its Group Business Development function in this high-impact role.

Role

The position plays a critical role in growing and defending the Group’s global revenue base through commercially and financially sustainable strategies across the Group. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will also be expected to lead the commercial workstream for major tenders and support financial and commercial aspects of mergers and acquisitions. You will partner closely with internal workstream leads, senior stakeholders, and external advisors to develop robust, competitive, and risk-mitigated solutions aligned to long-term strategic objectives.

Requirements

You hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a related discipline and have at least 10 years of experience in a commercial or financial role, ideally within the transportations and/or logistics industry. Prior exposure to large-scale tender processes and M&A transactions is essential for this role. You possess strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, and have a demonstrated ability to interpret complex commercial issues and influence outcomes at senior levels. You are comfortable engaging a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and are adept at negotiation, consultation, and relationship management.
