Commercial QA Specialist (APAC) – Food Ingredients

Description

Our client is a global food ingredients supplier and has created a Commercial Quality Assurance Specialist role, based in Singapore to oversee the APAC region.

Responsibilities

This role reports to the Global QA and Technical Head and will be responsible for supplier evaluation and qualification and handling of quality and regulatory related matters for the APAC region. This includes conducting supplier audits, setting up and maintaining the quality management system for the company, working closely with the commercial team to guide ingredients approval, completion of questionnaires, and investigating and solving any quality or food safety related complaints.

Requirements

You will ideally have a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or a relevant field, with at least 5 years of working experience in food safety, quality systems and audits. Knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, production processes of plant-based food ingredients would be a plus. To be successful in this role, you have strong stakeholder management skills, able to work independently and willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
