Corporate Lawyer – Manufacturing, 5-10PQE

Our client, a leading manufacturer in its industry, is currently recruiting their first Legal Counsel for their operations in Singapore. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, supporting various business functions. As Legal Counsel, you’ll provide expert legal advice on commercial law, contract management, corporate governance, and other critical matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in these areas, with experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm.

Role Overview:
As Legal Counsel, you will offer expert legal guidance on commercial contracts, corporate governance, and related legal matters. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, and business partners. You will also support compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and regulations, while advising on risk management and providing practical solutions to legal challenges. The role requires close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams to align with business strategies, as well as managing disputes, including litigation and settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial law, contract management, and corporate governance.
• Strong communication skills are essential to simplify complex legal issues for non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm is highly preferred, as is the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing or related industries is a plus.
