Country HR Shared Services Lead

Our Client
Our client is a well-established organisation with a strong reputation for operational excellence. They are seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead their HR Shared Services function within a shared services environment. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the efficient delivery of core HR services while continuously improving service quality, process efficiency, and the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of HR, you will be responsible for leading a team of 20 HR professionals delivering essential services such as payroll, onboarding, work pass administration, benefits and awards management, learning and development support, and employee query resolution. A key focus of this role is to ensure these services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the full HR service delivery lifecycle, overseeing end-to-end payroll processes, managing seamless onboarding experiences for new hires, ensuring full compliance with MOM guidelines on work pass matters, and administering a variety of employee benefit programs and recognition initiatives. The role also involves coordinating training logistics and documentation, responding to employee queries with accuracy and timeliness, and ensuring that all HR operations meet agreed service levels.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess 8 to 10 years of years of experience in HR operations or shared services, with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A strong background in HR service delivery, including experience with payroll systems, onboarding processes, and regulatory compliance in areas such as employment law and work pass regulations, is essential. You should have a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, along with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong service orientation.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are key, as is the ability to navigate and influence within a complex organizational structure. Familiarity with HR technology platforms, including HRIS and payroll systems, will be critical to success in this role.
