Data Analytics & Intelligence Lead (KL-based)

Description

This major financial institution continues to record impressive financial performance and invest in innovation. It is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly capable Data Analytics & Intelligence Lead in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building a robust data architecture and unified data platform for the Group Risk function, integrating reporting, analytics and the data lake to enhance risk assurance in partnership with Group Technology, Analytics and SME teams. You will also develop an effective operating model to scale and sustain the Group’s data assets, enabling faster delivery, insight-driven decision-making, and stronger assurance and reporting.

Requirements

You bring over 12 years of experience in risk and compliance operations, covering due diligence, transaction monitoring, conflict checks and financial crime surveillance. You also have a strong data science foundation with practical expertise in statistical modelling, fraud detection and applied analytics across banking, insurance or asset management. You are proficient in R, SAS and/or Python, with a solid track record in building and deploying analytical and predictive models. You communicate complex technical insights clearly and effectively, enabling stakeholders to make informed, action-oriented decisions.
