Disputes & Regulatory Counsel (7-12 PQE)
A large regional consumer-facing organisation is keen to appoint a disputes lawyer to support a wide range of contentious, regulatory and compliance matters across its operations. This role sits within a large legal team and offers meaningful exposure to complex, business-critical issues.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will advise on a broad spectrum of commercial and regulatory disputes, including pre-litigation strategy, investigations and enforcement-related matters. The role involves supporting the business on compliance and risk issues arising from consumer, trade and operational regulations, as well as managing disputes connected to third-party operators, vendors and service providers. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance and operational teams, manage external counsel where required, and contribute to dispute prevention initiatives, policy development and internal risk management frameworks.
Requirements
Candidates should have between 7 and 12 years’ PQE, with a strong disputes background gained at a top-tier law firm. Experience in commercial litigation, regulatory disputes or investigations is essential, and exposure to consumer-facing, regulated or operationally complex businesses is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be practical, commercially minded and comfortable handling matters in fast-moving environments where precedent may be limited, with strong judgment and stakeholder management skills.
