Head of Technology Sourcing & Vendor Management – Global FMCG Retail Group

This multinational FMCG retail organisation is continuing to invest in digital, cloud, and enterprise platforms to support growth and operational scale across international markets.

To support this agenda, the organisation is seeking to appoint a Head of Technology Sourcing & Vendor Management to lead the strategic sourcing, governance, and performance management of its global technology vendor ecosystem. Reporting to a senior technology or corporate leader, this role will ensure cost efficiency, delivery quality, and risk management across key technology partners.

Responsibilities

You will define and execute the organisation’s technology sourcing and vendor management strategy across enterprise applications, cloud and infrastructure services, software licensing, systems integrators, and managed services. You will lead vendor selection, commercial negotiations, contracting, and ongoing performance management, supported by robust KPIs, SLAs, and governance frameworks.

You will partner closely with Technology, Digital, Cyber, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to align vendor strategies with architectural standards, security requirements, and transformation roadmaps. The role also includes oversight of third-party risk, compliance, and cost optimisation initiatives across the technology vendor landscape.

Requirements

We are seeking a senior leader with strong experience in technology sourcing, IT procurement, or technology vendor management, ideally within large, complex MNC environments. You will have a proven track record of negotiating complex technology contracts, managing strategic vendor relationships, and driving value from global technology partnerships.
