      Our Client

      Our client is a well-established global firm engaged in the energy sector, with a strong presence across the Asia-Pacific region. Reporting to the APAC Head of HR, you will play a key role in supporting HR operations, policies, and people initiatives across the region, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and alignment with global HR practices.

      Responsibilities

      You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the client’s entities and joint ventures in the Asia-Pacific region. The role focuses on driving HR operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the implementation of people initiatives that promote employee engagement and performance. You will oversee recruitment and onboarding processes, administering payroll and benefits, and maintaining accurate employee records in accordance with data protection requirements. The incumbent will partner with business leaders to manage HR metrics and reporting, including resource planning, budgeting, and attrition analysis.

      Additionally, you will support the implementation and communication of HR policies while assisting in managing employee relations matters such as grievances or disciplinary actions, and ensures adherence to fair employment practices. The position also contributes to performance management processes, organisational development efforts, and change management initiatives. Further responsibilities include coordinating work pass applications and renewals, processing HR-related invoices, and preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts, confirmation letters, and salary adjustments.

      Requirements

      The ideal candidate will posses 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience and hold a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A strong understanding of Singapore’s employment legislation and HR compliance requirements is essential, while familiarity with other APAC employment regulations will be an advantage.

      As this role supports the Japanese markets and key stakeholders, proficiency in the Japanese language (both written and spoken) is mandatory. You should ideally possess Japanese language ability equivalent to JLPT N1 or N2.

      The ideal candidate should be able to make sound judgment, have great attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity. Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively is key.
