Regional Leader (Flavor & Food Ingredients Producer)

Description

We are partnering with a global ingredients organisation to appoint a regional leader covering Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. This role reports to the Regional Managing Director, and carries full responsibility for the business across the region, including strategy, commercial execution, people leadership and P&L ownership.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will define and execute the regional strategy in alignment with global and APAC priorities, translating this into clear country-level business plans and growth initiatives. You will be accountable for driving revenue, margins and market share across a broad product portfolio that spans both commodity and specialty solutions, requiring strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance scale with value-added innovation.

As the senior commercial owner for the region, you will build long-term, trust-based relationships with key customers and partners, and position the organisation as a strategic solutions provider rather than a transactional supplier. You will also lead and develop a regional organisation across sales, operations and support functions, strengthening leadership capability, succession planning and organisational effectiveness across markets.

In addition, the role includes full regional P&L responsibility, encompassing budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation. You will oversee operations and supply chain coordination to ensure reliable delivery and customer service, while driving process improvement, digitalisation and stronger use of CRM and analytics. Governance, compliance and risk management across diverse and emerging markets will be a key part of the remit.

Requirements

This is a compelling opportunity for a high-potential leader ready to step into broader regional and general management responsibility. The organisation is open to candidates who are currently leading the Indonesia business and looking to expand their scope, as well as senior sales or commercial leaders already managing multiple South East Asian markets who are keen to move into a full country and regional leadership role.

We are keen to speak with leaders from the food ingredients, flavours, nutrition or closely related sectors who are comfortable operating across both high-volume commodity businesses and differentiated specialty solutions. You should bring a proven track record of leading sizeable teams, driving commercial growth and working effectively across multiple South East Asian markets. Strong exposure to Indonesia and the broader region will be important.
