This is a leading investment management firm with a strong focus on quantitative investing and data-driven decision-making. As part of its continued expansion in AI-led research capabilities, the firm is seeking to appoint a high-calibre Senior AI Researcher to drive AI/ML-based investment research within a quantitative investment environment. This is a high-impact role focused on alpha signal discovery, robust model development, and translating research into real-world portfolio applications.

Responsibilities

You will lead AI/ML research initiatives to generate investment and risk insights, leveraging both structured and alternative data sources to develop predictive signals. You will design and build robust models with strong validation frameworks and risk discipline, ensuring research outputs are scalable and production-ready. Working closely with investment professionals and engineering teams, you will translate research into deployable strategies and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the firm’s quantitative investment capabilities.

Requirements

We are looking for a technically strong AI/ML researcher with 5-10 years of experience in academia and/or quantitative research. You should have deep expertise in time series analysis, statistical learning, and modern machine learning frameworks, along with advanced programming proficiency in Python, R, or Julia. Experience in financial markets, including knowledge of market microstructure, is advantageous. A strong research mindset, coupled with the ability to apply cutting-edge techniques to real-world investment problems, is essential.
