Group Retail Merchandising Director

Our client is a renowned regional FMCG company with a strong commitment to delivering quality products and service to customers across the region. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Retail Merchandising Director to be based in Hong Kong. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping retail excellence, strengthening merchandising capabilities, and ensuring that operating models and processes are aligned to broader business objectives.

You are a strategic and commercially minded retail leader with deep expertise in merchandising and operating model design. You bring a strong understanding of process governance, analytics, and technology enablement, and are able to work effectively across functions and geographies to drive business outcomes.

Tanggungjawab

• Leading the design and enhancement of core merchandising processes, procedures, governance, and capability frameworks.
• Driving alignment across upstream and downstream functions to ensure effective end-to-end process impact.
• Shaping future-fit analytics solutions to support evolving processes, with a strong focus on data and analytics workstreams.
• Partnering closely with technology teams to deliver seamless solutions aligned to the approved retail operating model.
• Working with change management teams to assess business impact, develop communication plans, and create training materials to support adoption.
• Supporting the broader retail excellence agenda through process optimization, operating model improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in merchandising and category management within retail or FMCG environments.
• Strong background in merchandising, retail operating models, and process design.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale process transformation and technology implementation projects in retail.
• Prior experience with Oracle systems is highly desirable.
• Consulting experience will be considered an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
