IT Manager

Introduction/overview
My client, a mid‑sized NBFI, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee day‑to‑day IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data platforms in Singapore. This is a broad, hands‑on leadership role that will also play a key role in advancing the organisation’s AI adoption and modern data capabilities, leveraging Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities
The IT Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT operations and execution of technology initiatives. This includes workplace technology, end-user computing, onboarding/offboarding processes, and helpdesk operations to ensure employees have secure and reliable access to business tools and systems. The role will oversee infrastructure reliability, cybersecurity controls, vendor management, IT risk, and operational resilience through disaster recovery and business continuity testing. The role will manage the Microsoft Fabric environment across data storage, warehousing, governance, and analytics enablement. In addition, the IT Manager will plan and deliver projects, oversee application integrations and operational workflows, and act as a key escalation point for internal systems and third-party platforms. This position will also lead the evaluation and governance of AI tools and support AI initiatives across the organisation.

Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations. Prior exposure to the financial services sector is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Microsoft Fabric in a production environment, alongside practical experience in network, cybersecurity, ETL pipelines, application integrations, APIs, and SaaS platforms. The role requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences effectively. Experience managing budget, operational risk, and IT governance frameworks will be highly regarded. Certifications in project management are advantageous.
