      As one of the key pillars of Industry & Commerce in Kerry Consulting, the Energy & Commodities (‘E&C’) Practice is armed with a stellar track record, with the team comprising specialist recruiters across commercial and corporate functions. The E&C Practice enjoys one of the largest client networks within the energy, power, utilities, metals & mining, agriculture, renewables, shipping and logistics sectors. The client profile ranges from commodities traders, integrated producers, infrastructure owners, ancillary service providers to investment management such as private equity firms with an E&C focus.

      The Opportunity

      Due to the steady pipeline of hiring requests, the E&C team is looking to hire a Candidate Manager, responsible for building, managing, and nurturing relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional candidate experience while ensuring a strong talent pipeline aligned with client hiring needs. The Candidate Manager works closely with Consultants and Business Development teams to match high-quality talent with client opportunities efficiently and professionally.

      The coverage will range from niche specialty profiles to senior heads of department to C-suite levels. You will gather market intelligence, market map and deliver key talents for the assignments.

      Progressively, you will develop subject matter expertise in specific functions and industries. You will hone candidate engagement skills with close guidance from the research team and Directors, and you will be directly exposed to the nuances of the search industry.

      Job Scope:

      • Partner with Consultants and Directors on fulfilling search mandates
      • Understand the requirements for the mandate and formulate a search strategy with the consultants
      • Research and identify talents through various platforms (job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, CRM databases)
      • Reach out via multiple channels and present opportunities to identified talents effectively while understanding their career goals and aspirations
      • Conduct structured interviews (phone, virtual, in-person) and assess skills, experience, motivations, and cultural fit, and provide detailed candidate profiles and recommendations to consultants and clients
      • Educate stakeholders on your findings and provide relevant insights including opinions on talent availability within an industry
      • Be resourceful and innovative in tackling challenges that appear during the search process

      Requirements:

      • Demonstrates strong levels of reasoning and problem-solving skills to overcome roadblocks
      • Excellent communications skills and conversational ability
      • Comfortable with being on the phone, handling objections, and be able to convert contacts to warm acquaintances
      • Disciplined with integrity and ability to exercise high levels of discretion in a confidential environment
      • High level of organisational capability, possess an eye for details and being disciplined to stick to datelines
      • Interest in current affairs and market developments and possess a keen sense of commercial acumen
      • Fresh university graduates or professionals with up to five years of postgraduate experience are encouraged to apply
