Legal Counsel – P&C & L&H Transactions, KL
Legal Counsel | P&C & L&H Transactions (APAC, KL-based), 8+PQE
A global Legal Transactions team is looking for a qualified lawyer (8+ PQE) to support P&C and L&H reinsurance deals across APAC, with occasional global exposure. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role offers the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams and help strengthen transactional legal support across the region.
The Role
- Advise on complex reinsurance and retrocession transactions, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Support transaction governance, compliance, and knowledge management to enhance contract certainty.
- Work with underwriters, actuaries, client managers, structurers, and other stakeholders to drive transactions to completion.
- Manage outside counsel and contribute to internal initiatives, training, and best practices.
Keperluan
- Fully qualified lawyer with experience in reinsurance or insurance law.
- A minimum of 5PQE.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
- Fluent in English; additional East Asian languages are a plus.
