Kerry Consulting is partnering with a fast-growing chemical distribution group to appoint a newly created Regional Industry Manager – Semiconductor & Electronics, based in either Singapore or Malaysia.

This role represents a strategic growth mandate for the organisation. Supported by an established Taiwanese affiliate with a decade of experience in the electronics sector, the company is now looking to build its semiconductor and electronics footprint across South East Asia, starting with Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

At present, the Group has limited direct exposure to the electronics segment in these markets. The successful candidate will therefore be responsible for shaping and executing the regional growth strategy, building the product portfolio, securing agency lines, and establishing the organisation as a credible player in this industry vertical.

Tanggungjawab

You will take ownership of developing the semiconductor and electronics market segment across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, working closely with the Taiwanese affiliate to leverage existing product capabilities and technical expertise.

A key aspect of the role will involve identifying and onboarding suitable principals, expanding the Group’s product portfolio for this industry, and building strong relationships with customers in semiconductor fabrication, electronics manufacturing and related supply chains. You will lead commercial discussions, negotiate distribution agreements and define go-to-market strategies tailored to each country.

As the segment leader, you will develop and execute a structured growth plan, including target account identification, pipeline development and regional expansion beyond the initial markets. You will also collaborate with internal sales, technical and supply chain teams to ensure operational readiness and customer satisfaction.

Given the early stage of development in these markets, the role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, resilience and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Keperluan

You should have prior experience within the semiconductor, electronics materials or electronic chemicals ecosystem, ideally from a chemical distributor or materials supplier serving wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, PCB or EMS customers.

Experience building or expanding a market segment, establishing agency relationships, and working with multinational principals will be highly regarded. Familiarity with the SEA electronics landscape, particularly Singapore and Malaysia, will be advantageous.

This role suits a commercially driven individual who is comfortable working in a growth environment, capable of building structure from the ground up, and confident engaging both principals and end customers. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work cross-border with Taiwan-based colleagues are essential.
