Chief Enterprise Architect

We are currently supporting a confidential appointment of a Chief Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide architecture strategy for a large, complex organisation operating at scale. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will play a critical role in shaping the long-term technology landscape, enabling platform modernisation, regulatory alignment and sustainable growth across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
You will set the strategic direction for enterprise architecture, defining and governing the enterprise architecture framework and principles across the organisation. The role will lead large-scale architecture transformation and modernisation initiatives, guiding the design and integration of core enterprise platforms and critical technology capabilities.
You will provide senior technical leadership across enterprise, data and solution architecture domains, establishing standards, reference architectures and governance to ensure architectural consistency, risk management and technology lifecycle discipline. Working closely with executive stakeholders across business and technology, you will influence strategic investment decisions, assess emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement in architecture practices and outcomes.
Requirements
You will bring a minimum of 20 years of senior technology leadership experience, with deep expertise across enterprise, data or solution architecture in large, complex organisations, ideally within regulated or multi-country environments. A strong track record in defining enterprise-wide architecture strategy, leading cloud adoption and delivering large-scale platform transformation is essential.
You will be a highly credible senior advisor, comfortable operating at CxO level while engaging effectively with engineering and delivery teams. Exposure to enterprise platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity, GenAI and regulatory or compliance considerations will be advantageous. Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking and the ability to shape direction in ambiguous, evolving environments are critical to success in this role.
