Country HR Director

Our client is a well-established, privately held company with a strong regional presence in the consumer industry. With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, the company is seeking a seasoned Head of HR (Singapore) to lead its human resources function. This role requires a dynamic and experienced HR leader to support business growth, drive organizational effectiveness, and foster a cohesive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
The Head of HR will be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, and employee relations. The role requires close collaboration multiple Managing Directors, and senior leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
A key priority will be building a strong and harmonious workplace culture, leveraging emotional intelligence to navigate a complex, family-owned business environment. Additionally, the role involves driving organizational development initiatives such as leadership development programs, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies. Ensuring compliance with employment regulations and industry best practices, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, and managing HR operations effectively are also essential aspects of this position. You will play a pivotal role in leading change management efforts and fostering a high-performing HR team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 to 20 years of HR experience in a generalist capacity, with a strong track record in strategic HR leadership. Experience working in a family-owned business environment is highly advantageous. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, high emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex workplace dynamics are essential. The candidate should have deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, and employee relations, along with a hands-on leadership style that balances strategic initiatives with operational HR responsibilities. A strong understanding of local employment laws and HR best practices is required.
