Director, Head of Infrastructure Services
We are seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee the stability, performance and ongoing development of our organisation’s infrastructure services. The client is a leading organisation in the financial services industry, and the role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead a team dedicated to developing automation and analytical tools that support daily system health checks and operational assurance. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving infrastructure standards, policies and procedures, and for conducting regular assessments to confirm the effectiveness of key controls. Collaboration with architecture and cloud engineering teams will be central, ensuring that infrastructure design, upgrades and transformation initiatives support long-term platform stability and operational readiness. You will also oversee system recovery strategies and participate in technical reviews to validate that infrastructure components are capable of supporting critical services.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in infrastructure engineering or operations, with exposure to virtualisation technologies, directory services, networking and automation frameworks. Experience working in the financial services industry is essential, particularly within complex and highly regulated technology environments. Experience in system design, operational assurance and recovery planning will be highly beneficial.
You should have a proven ability to lead technical teams, manage senior stakeholders and navigate large-scale infrastructure landscapes. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and the ability to anticipate operational risks are important, as is the capability to adapt to evolving technologies and changing business priorities.
