Role Overview

A leading public sector technology organisation is seeking a Director of Digital Infrastructure and Workplace Solutions to oversee the design, integration and delivery of enterprise workplace technologies. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across digital infrastructure, workplace applications and front-line technology services. You will drive transformation initiatives, enhance service delivery standards and ensure secure, reliable and cost-effective technology operations. This position requires a seasoned technology leader who excels in complex environments and can influence senior stakeholders while guiding large scale operational teams.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will lead the planning and execution of digital strategy, operational workplans and enterprise technology delivery. You will collaborate with internal technology groups to ensure smooth rollout and sustained performance of workplace platforms, infrastructure services and productivity applications. You will uphold high service standards through effective operational oversight, strong governance and continuous improvement.

You will review central technology initiatives to identify opportunities for workforce optimisation and streamlined operations. You will align technology priorities with organisational objectives and work closely with business leaders to develop and deliver fit for purpose technology initiatives. You will guide the integration of new business groups onto shared workplace platforms and ensure effective resourcing across all operational teams. You will coach and develop staff, cultivate high performing teams and nurture talent pipelines to support long term organisational capabilities.

Requirements:

You bring proven experience in operational leadership within large scale IT or digital transformation environments. You demonstrate strong capabilities in field operations, workforce transformation and enterprise service management. Experience in IT infrastructure leadership and technical services at scale is highly advantageous. You have led diverse teams and navigated complex organisational landscapes to drive change. Experience in IT governance, enterprise architecture or programme management is valued. You possess strong stakeholder engagement skills and communicate with clarity. You maintain a security and availability focused mindset with sound risk management and compliance awareness. Prior public sector or uniformed service leadership experience is beneficial.
