Head of AI Practice

About the Role 

The AI Practice Lead is a strategic leadership position responsible for shaping and driving the organization’s AI governance, standards, and best practices. This role ensures that AI initiatives are ethically sound, compliant with regulations, and aligned with business goals. The AI Practice Lead plays a key role in advancing the organization’s AI maturity by fostering innovation, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include establishing governance frameworks and ethical guidelines for AI, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and defining protocols for model validation and risk assessment. The role also involves standardizing AI development practices, promoting responsible AI principles, and leading capability-building efforts such as training and knowledge-sharing. Additionally, the AI Practice Lead defines the AI strategy and roadmap, partners with leadership to identify high-impact opportunities, and oversees R&D to explore emerging technologies. People management is also central, with a focus on mentoring AI professionals and cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Key Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field, with a master’s or PhD preferred. Proven experience in AI leadership, governance, and capability development is essential, along with deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Strong knowledge of AI ethics, privacy regulations, and responsible AI principles is required. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills to drive alignment and adoption across the organization.
