      Head of Critical Equipment Maintenance

      About the Company

      Our client is a leading operator within Singapore’s public transportation sector, responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure and operational assets that support safe and reliable passenger services. As part of its continued investment in maintenance excellence, operational reliability and technical capability development, the organisation is seeking an experienced engineering and maintenance leader to oversee a key workshop and asset maintenance function.

      Responsibilities

      Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the maintenance, repair, overhaul, servicing and testing of critical operational equipment and assets to ensure reliability, availability and performance targets are achieved. You will be responsible for workshop operations, maintenance capability development, technical governance, workforce competency, safety management, resource planning, budgeting and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will also involve close collaboration with operations, engineering teams, regulators, suppliers and external stakeholders to support asset performance, operational continuity and long-term maintenance sustainability.

      Requirements

      You possess a degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience leading maintenance, overhaul, repair, workshop, asset management or engineering operations within rail, aerospace, defence, power generation, utilities, industrial manufacturing or other asset-intensive environments. Candidates with approximately 8-10 years of experience in railway engineering or heavy industry engineering, particularly within maintenance-focused operations, will be highly regarded. You have a proven track record in technical leadership, operational management, safety governance, workforce development and stakeholder engagement, together with strong planning, budgeting and performance management capabilities. Chartered Engineer status or membership with a recognised professional institution would be advantageous.
