Legal Executive

This is a newly created role with a manufacturing firm that has an extensive regional presence. Reporting to and supporting the Legal Director, you will gain broad exposure across general corporate matters, compliance, intellectual property, and corporate governance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a legal professional seeking a varied in-house role within a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities
You will play an active role in reviewing and managing a range of contract templates, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, and other commercial contracts, escalating matters to the Legal Director where necessary. As part of ensuring a robust contract management framework, you will support the administration of the contract lifecycle and help maintain efficient legal processes and systems. The role will also provide exposure to regulatory compliance matters, legal due diligence exercises, audits, and litigation management. Given the nature of the business, you will work closely with external counsel on intellectual property matters, including the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications. In addition, you will support general corporate and governance-related matters across the organisation.
Requirements
You should possess at least three years of experience as a Legal Executive or Paralegal within either an in-house legal team or a law firm environment, with demonstrable experience in contract management and exposure to corporate and commercial legal matters. A Diploma in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related discipline will be preferred. Due to the need to review Mandarin-language documents and communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, the successful candidate should be comfortable working in Mandarin.
