Our client is a leading Singapore Inc., that has been enjoying the early successes of a strategic transformation. As they continue to pivot across their businesses, there is now an exciting opportunity for a full suite finance professional to join them as an International Financial Controller, to be based in Singapore.
Role
As a strong people manager and developer, you will lead a team of qualified and seasoned professionals and manage the entirety of financial accounting and reporting. Apart from the statutory reporting responsibilities, you will also partner the business stakeholders in performance management, long and short term strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting as well as tax, treasury and working capital management. You will also provide continuous oversight of controls and compliance and ensure overall financial and corporate governance. As an extension, you will be expected to continuously review the existing finance framework (policies, processes and controls) and enhance these where necessary, in order to remain efficient, robust and competitive.
Requirements
You are degree qualified, ideally in Accounting and Finance. Professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA are pre-requisites for the role. With between 20 – 25 years of commercial work experience, you are a full suite finance professional, with prior work experience in financial accounting, budgeting and planning, as well as audit/internal controls/compliance. Prior exposure to systems implementation and enhancements, and/or shared services will be extremely desirable. Demonstrated track record of a team manager and experience in effective senior stakeholder engagement will be highly desirable.
