VP / Director – Enterprise & Commercial Risk

Our client is a fast-growing, Singapore-headquartered fintech that provides the technology powering loyalty and rewards programmes for many of the world’s leading banks, card issuers and financial institutions.

As the business enters its next phase of international growth, they are creating a new Director / Senior Director – Enterprise & Commercial Risk position to establish and lead a broad Enterprise Risk function that will scale alongside the organisation. This is a rare opportunity to build a greenfield risk capability from the ground up, partnering with senior leaders across the business to embed practical, commercially focused risk management that supports continued global expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including governance, risk appetite, policies and reporting.
• Lead enterprise-wide risk governance through the Risk Committee, driving accountability and oversight across all business functions.
• Partner with commercial and business leaders to advise on client, supplier and strategic partnership risks, balancing commercial objectives with sound risk management.
• Oversee enterprise-wide third-party and counterparty risk, including due diligence, concentration risk and contingency planning.
• Build and lead the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and operational resilience framework.
• Provide independent second-line oversight across cyber, technology and operational risks, working closely with Information Security and Compliance teams.
• Coordinate customer due diligence, enterprise client assessments and external assurance activities including ISO27001, SOC2 and PCI DSS.
• Foster a pragmatic, commercially focused risk culture that enables business growth while maintaining robust governance.

Requirements

• Proven experience within the payments and/or fintech sector is essential.
• Demonstrated experience leading broad-based Enterprise Risk or Non-Financial Risk functions, with responsibility across multiple risk disciplines (e.g. Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Third-Party Risk, Business Continuity, Governance and Technology Risk Oversight), rather than deep expertise in a single specialist risk domain.
• Approximately 10+ years’ experience in Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Governance or other broad non-financial risk leadership roles.
• Experience designing, building or significantly enhancing enterprise risk frameworks within a high-growth, fast-paced organisation.
• Regional or global responsibilities are essential, with experience supporting multi-jurisdictional businesses and international expansion.
• Commercially minded with a proven ability to partner senior business leaders, balancing effective risk management with business growth.
• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and solutions-oriented, with the ability to build scalable governance capabilities from the ground up.
