Financial Controller ( West)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller with a privately owned logistics company that has a strong global presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the MD, you will lead a team of four seasoned finance professionals, overseeing the full spectrum of financial operations. This includes managing financial resources, forecasting short- and mid-term cash flow, and analyzing key financial metrics to provide insights to senior management. You will support local operational managers, ensure the timely filing of tax returns for multiple Singapore-based entities, and prepare budgets and forecasts for management review. Additionally, you will optimize government incentive programs, manage local bank relationships in coordination with HQ finance, and oversee ad-hoc projects such as commercial billing. You will also collaborate with the Commercial Finance team to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, business-centric leader with a strong academic foundation, holding at least a degree in accountancy. With extensive experience in accounting, finance, and taxation, they will demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, including the ability to lead and develop team members, along with strong computer literacy and technological expertise. Highly analytical and solution-focused, the candidate must be a self-starter, capable of multitasking, working independently, and thriving under pressure in a fast-paced, expanding environment. Effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration with international counterparts are essential, as is cross-cultural exposure, with overseas working experience being a plus. The candidate must also be able to work in the west region of Singapore.
