Technology Director, Consumer & Retail

A leading consumer and retail organisation with a strong regional presence is seeking a Technology Director, Consumer & Retail to lead its technology strategy, digital platforms, and IT service delivery across multiple markets. Based in Singapore, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving technology transformation, enhancing customer-facing and enterprise platforms, and ensuring technology investments support business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Reporting to senior leadership, you will define and execute the organisation’s technology roadmap, translating business priorities into scalable and effective technology solutions. You will oversee IT service management, enterprise applications, digital commerce platforms, and core technology architecture, ensuring high levels of service performance and stakeholder satisfaction. The role will also lead major transformation programmes, working closely with business and project teams to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets. In addition, you will build and develop high-performing technology teams, drive capability development, and oversee resource planning, financial management, and vendor partnerships across the technology function.

Requirements

You will bring extensive experience leading technology, digital transformation, or IT service functions within consumer, retail, e-commerce, or related industries. A strong background in CRM and digital commerce platforms, including Salesforce, Adobe Commerce, or similar technologies, is essential. Experience across data and analytics, automation, low-code platforms, and emerging AI technologies will be highly valued. Exposure to systems supporting supply chain, logistics, procurement, or demand planning functions would be advantageous. The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across regional markets. Ability to communicate effectively with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across the region will be important for this role.
