Deputy Head of Finance (Major Bank)

Our client, a well-established corporate bank with a strong market presence, is looking for an experienced and hands-on Deputy Finance Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be a key contributor in managing the bank’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and compliance. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of a wide range of finance functions and contribute significantly to the bank’s overall financial strategy.

Deskripsi Pekerjaan:

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including managing monthly financial closings, expense monitoring, and ensuring adherence to both internal and external financial regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in managing corporate expenses, implementing effective cost controls, and ensuring the company’s financial reporting is accurate and timely. You will also handle all GST-related matters, including tax filings, reconciliations, and compliance with relevant tax laws.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other ad-hoc financial analyses. You will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and identifying areas for cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, particularly in banking, with experience handling expense management, GST, and tax-related matters. A deep understanding of financial systems and excellent communication skills will be essential for collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

As the Deputy Finance Manager, you will be expected to step in and take charge of the finance function in the absence of the Finance Manager, so leadership and problem-solving skills are vital. The role is designed for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Persyaratan:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with significant experience in the corporate banking sector or financial services industry. You should be well-versed in financial regulations, including GST matters and tax compliance, and have experience working with financial systems and reporting tools. Strong hands-on experience in financial analysis, expense management, and month-end processes is required. Additionally, you should have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
