HR Director, Singapore

Overview
Our client is a leading provider in the aerospace and air services sector. They are now looking for a HR Director managing Singapore operations. You will lead strategic people initiatives to fuel business growth, operational excellence, and a vibrant organizational culture while managing a substantial blue-collar workforce.
Role
A pivotal leadership position on the executive team, this role oversees all HR functions including recruitment & talent acquisition, employee engagement & development, performance management, learning, retention, payroll, succession planning, retirement, and HR policy implementation. You will drive strategic people initiatives to support business growth, operational excellence, and a strong organizational culture across Operations and Retail divisions.
Shape people strategies and HR systems aligned with business goals, providing insights to influence executive decisions. Partner with local leadership on integrated talent acquisition, onboarding, and succession planning. Manage budgets, compensation/benefits, incentives, and union relations. Drive continuous improvement in HR processes to enhance employee experience and efficiency. Solve business challenges, ensure governance/risk compliance, and champion safety. Set performance goals, coach leaders, and implement reward/recognition programs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring a total of 18-20 years of overall HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a multinational organization, with strong regional/country HR experience encompassing employment legislation, processes, and best practices across relevant jurisdictions. They demonstrate proven ability to apply local employment laws to HR strategies and solutions, alongside expertise in HR systems implementation, integration, and adoption.
A track record in business transformation, programme and change management is essential. Data-oriented with the ability to provide actionable insights for decision-making, the candidate will also possess strong leadership capabilities and financial acumen to effectively plan, execute, and manage budgets.
