Legal Counsel, Commodity Trading

Our client is a world class commodity trading firm with presence in more than 20 over countries globally. As part of their expansion plan, they are looking to hire a legal counsel with expertise in LNG and Crude to join the team.

Tanggung Jawab

This will be an exciting opportunity for a season commodity trading legal counsel to come onboard to help manage the development of the organization’s LNG business. As part of the legal team, you will be providing advice on a wide range of commercial agreements.

The agreements will cover both upstream and downstream of the commodity value chain. Some agreements will include Sales and Purchase, Shipping related and ISDA Master Agreements on the commodity derivatives. You will be involve in the drafting and the negotiating of these agreements and working with various internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transaction. Apart from the LNG trading desk, you will also be providing legal support to the Crude products.

Persyaratan

In order to succeed in this role, you should have at least 8 years of working experience in a commodity trading/oil & gas environment. Candidates with prior experience handling LNG trading contracts is preferred. You should also ideally be called to the Singapore bar / UK Bar.
