Senior Accountant
This newly created Senior Accountant position offers an exciting opportunity with an established and fast-growing energy firm.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing, financial reporting, and consolidating accounts. Prepares monthly and annual financial statements, manages AP & AR, GL, reconciliations, and a full set of accounts. Computes taxes, prepares returns, and manages balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Ensures timely reconciliations of accounts and bank statements, maintains accurate ledgers, and supports audit preparation. Maintains financial data confidentiality, supports SOP creation, stays updated on regulatory requirements, and coordinates with internal teams for intercompany activities. Also supports forecasting, budgeting, and new system implementations.
Key requirements:
Requires a Diploma/Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A self-starter with the ability to plan, organize, and meet objectives and deadlines independently. Exhibits a can-do attitude, strong drive, and passion for work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong financial analysis and problem-solving abilities. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
