Sales Director, Flavors – Southeast Asia

Our client is a leading global ingredients and nutrition solutions provider with an established presence across international markets. As part of its continued investment in the APAC business, the organisation is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead its Flavours business across Southeast Asia.
This is a high-impact regional leadership opportunity for a commercially driven individual with deep expertise in the flavours industry. Leading a regional sales team based across SEA markets, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, strengthening strategic customer partnerships and expanding market share across the beverage and broader food and beverage sectors. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, developing high-performing teams and delivering innovative customer solutions throughout the region. Candidates without prior commercial experience in the flavours industry will not be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Reporting to regional leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for the Flavours business across Southeast Asia, ensuring the achievement of revenue, profitability and sustainable growth objectives. You will lead, mentor and develop a high-performing sales organisation while fostering a collaborative, customer-centric culture across the region.
Working closely with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders, you will identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with key regional accounts and expand the company’s presence across the food and beverage industry. You will collaborate extensively with marketing, business management, supply chain, flavour creation and application teams to build a robust commercial pipeline and deliver tailored solutions that address evolving customer needs.
In addition, you will oversee strategic account management, manage commercial negotiations, monitor market dynamics and competitive developments, and provide commercial insights to support future growth initiatives. You will also ensure effective management of customer relationships, account performance and receivables while acting as a trusted partner to both internal and external stakeholders across the region.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a degree in Food Science or a related discipline, supported by at least fifteen years of commercial experience within the flavours industry. Prior sales leadership experience within a flavours business is essential, together with a proven track record of leading regional sales teams, developing strategic customer relationships and delivering sustainable business growth across Southeast Asia.
You will have established customer relationships across the food and beverage sector, particularly within beverage manufacturers and regional or multinational food companies, and demonstrate success in managing strategic accounts and developing high-performing commercial teams. Experience gained within multinational organisations and responsibility for large regional accounts will be highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring people leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, combining strategic thinking with strong commercial execution. You will be comfortable operating in a dynamic regional environment, working collaboratively across functions and travelling extensively throughout Southeast Asia to support business growth.
