Legal Counsel, Solar Energy

Kerry Consulting is working with our client that is a well-established energy solution platform with a strong and growing presence across Asia and globally. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a Legal Counsel to support their growing Solar business, partnering closely with commercial and project teams on a broad range of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will play a key role in providing timely and effective legal advice to the business.

You will support the development and execution of solar projects by advising on EPC contracts, project development, procurement, financing, and commercial arrangements. You will also draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements while identifying legal risks and delivering practical, commercially focused solutions. From time to time, you will also support M&A transactions, joint ventures, and investments across regional markets, manage pre-litigation disputes, oversee external counsel, and maintain legal policies and compliance frameworks.

You will also assist to monitor regulatory developments and ensure the business remains compliant with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

Persyaratan

You should have minimum 7 years’ PQE with strong commercial legal experience, preferably gained in the energy, infrastructure, projects, or renewables sector. Singapore-qualified lawyers are preferred, although candidates qualified in other common law jurisdictions will also be considered. Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, coupled with the ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
