Our client, a leading name in the retail sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Infrastructure & Planning to lead their infrastructure operations, architecture, and project teams. This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the CIO, and will play a central part in shaping the company’s technology roadmap and ensuring the stability and scalability of core systems that support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage infrastructure operations across data centers, cloud platforms, networks, and end-user services.
Own and drive the infrastructure architecture strategy to ensure scalability, resilience, and security.
Oversee the successful delivery of infrastructure-related projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Build and lead a high-performing team across infrastructure support, engineering, and planning functions.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including IT, business leaders, and vendors to understand requirements and deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
Ensure infrastructure services meet SLAs and support operational excellence across the organization.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across infrastructure platforms and service delivery models.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior infrastructure leadership role, preferably within the retail, FMCG, or a similarly fast-paced industry.
Strong background in managing infrastructure operations, architecture, and project delivery.
Excellent leadership and team management skills; capable of developing and motivating cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of influencing at senior levels.
Experience working with modern hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem, cloud, SaaS).
A pragmatic, hands-on leader with a strong sense of accountability and delivery.
