Our client is a technology infrastructure provider delivering advanced computing platforms that support AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and data-intensive workloads. They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will help design, deploy, and optimise large-scale compute infrastructure, working with modern cloud-native technologies and GPU-based platforms to deliver reliable and automated environments for AI and HPC applications.

    Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will build and maintain bare-metal infrastructure supporting large-scale compute environments. Your responsibilities will include developing automated provisioning workflows, deploying and managing GPU-enabled platforms, and optimising Kubernetes and workload scheduling environments for distributed computing. You will also perform platform validation and performance benchmarking, enhance infrastructure observability, support hardware integration and system tuning, and contribute to automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with infrastructure, networking, and operations teams, you will help ensure platform stability, reproducibility, and operational efficiency.

    Requirements

You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure and Kubernetes environments. You bring hands-on knowledge of bare-metal provisioning technologies such as Metal3, OpenStack Ironic, MaaS, or similar tools, together with experience in GPU computing, Slurm, RDMA networking, and distributed AI or HPC workloads. Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools including Ansible, Helm, Terraform or OpenTofu, as well as proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, Rust, or similar languages, will be advantageous. Experience with container technologies, performance benchmarking, firmware and hardware tuning, and production support environments is preferred. Strong technical documentation, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach are essential.
