AI Platform Engineer
We are seeking am AI Platform Engineer to build and scale advanced job orchestration systems at a leading AI infrastructure provider. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the control layer that enables seamless submission, scheduling, and management of AI workloads across distributed compute environments.
You will work closely with infrastructure, platform, and machine learning teams to deliver a robust and scalable orchestration experience supporting large-scale training and inference workloads.
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and building APIs, command-line tools, and web interfaces for managing AI workloads across containerised and HPC-based systems. You will develop scheduling and orchestration capabilities, including prioritisation, resource allocation, and workload routing. You will be responsible for implementing multi-tenant access controls, enforcing resource quotas, and ensuring fair usage across users and teams.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, exposure to AI/ML platforms is important, particularly in supporting model training, fine-tuning, or inference workloads. Experience working with LLM-based systems – such as deploying, scaling, or optimizing model inference, handling GPU workloads, or integrating with model serving frameworks – is highly valued. Familiarity with concepts such as token-based workloads, latency-performance trade-offs, and cost optimisation in AI systems will be advantageous.
