Solutions Architect – Capital Markets

Our client is a well-established financial institution undergoing a multi-year transformation of its capital markets technology landscape. As part of this initiative, they are seeking a Solution Architect to shape the future architecture supporting trading platforms across the end-to-end trade lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions while working closely with business and technology stakeholders.

Peran

The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining the target architecture for trading and markets platforms across front office, risk, operations, and finance functions. The role involves developing architecture roadmaps to evolve existing platforms towards modern technology patterns, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and containerised environments. You will evaluate legacy systems, recommend modernisation strategies, and establish architectural standards covering application design, data models, system integration, deployment approaches, and non-functional requirements. Working closely with trading, risk, operations, and engineering teams, you will provide architectural leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure solutions align with business and technology objectives.

Persyaratan

The successful candidate will have at least seven years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture, with hands-on expertise in distributed technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, and modern database platforms. You should have practical experience delivering large-scale technology modernisation initiatives, including migrating established systems to contemporary architectures. Familiarity with capital markets technology is required, with knowledge in areas such as foreign exchange, rates, fixed income, derivatives, risk analytics, or post-trade processing. A solid understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams. Experience supporting low-latency platforms or market connectivity solutions will be viewed favourably.
