Data Engineer – LNG Trading
We are working with a regional LNG trading company, where they are seeking a skilled Data Engineer. Working with the market and quantitative analysis team, they are looking for someone who can help advance their data capabilities while maintaining high standards of integrity when handling confidential information.
Description
The Data Engineer will develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using Python programming language, participating in the entire software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: creating large-scale data processing pipelines for machine learning algorithms; writing clean, reusable code; collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems; participating in code reviews to ensure quality; debugging and troubleshooting technical issues; staying current with emerging trends in Python development; and supporting overall IT matters with external vendors.
Requirements
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as working with Python. Familiarity with trading platforms, market data feeds, order management systems, financial instruments, and risk management concepts would be advantageous.
